I used to work for JB H-Fi, no longer working there means any contractual agreements no longer apply to me :P

The staff at JB Hi-Fi are given Cost + GST (no percentage there :P) on all items except CD/DVD/Games which are sold at average cost + GST (the average cost price the store pays as they change in price often).

It is specifically stated that using your staff discount to purchase goods and selling them on (on a larger than personal scale) is prohibited and an employment termination offence.

Just one last question (and again can be PM'ed to me, totally anonymous) but I was wondering what the various commission schemes at places are?

I assume sales people at various stores are at or within a couple of dollars of minimum wage, but with commission of some sort. Then there's the supplier bonuses too but they seem to vary a lot.

Work your a** off to get your target and from there you get something like 2% of the Margin?
If you don't hit the target, you don't get monies :(
