a family friend of ours climbed up the radio mast at Titahi Bay (the second highest structure in NZ behind the Sky Tower) a few times, there's some quite impressive photos from there. He used to do it as a party trick back in the day. However the final time he did it, he did do it legally.

There's a huge fence etc all round it now, so you probably can't do it any more.

At least they get an elevator to 1600 feet, or your days work would be over before you got to the top!
