Yeah, but my 4kw scootie still beats any car across town in peak hour traffic. $6 in gas a fortnight too :)

Oh, it's, umm, fantastic in winter too. Sigh.

Well, I only spend about $10 per week on petrol, so it turns out that having a cute car isn't that bad after all. Admittedly, it helps that I don't use the car during the week, as I prefer to use public transport to get to work.

A guy I work with used to be the proud owner of a V8 Holden back in the days when petrol was less than $1 per litre. Needless to say he has since sold the V8 and has now resorted to walking!

hmmm every second weekend I do 1,000 kilometres, havent counted my weekday stuff yet because my driving habits have changed lots lately.

Looking for V8 to buy, but given current fuel prices, wouldnt have one as daily driver - the ute is bad enough, its nearly 260 cubic inches (approaching 4.5 litres), and the LPG unit for it isnt installed yet (its sitting it the bronze ute you can see in the background of the pic).

Dunno about a Civic, but a Prius has a fifteen year payback period.
I think you still get better mileage out of a small Euro diesel hatch

I was thinking that wannabeegeekchick's car was the coolest, until I saw bradstewart's beast. This week, I bought this:

It's just a cheap runabout but I have spent all my life driving 'sensible' cars, so driving a car with mags, a spoiler, and a close ratio manual gearbox is a lot of fun for me!

Ha Ha you boys were busy last night, sorry I was too busy in a bubble bath with a glass of rum.....has this turned into a competition for getting the coolist ride? or the quickest? boy with there toys aye! huhummm I have another car, well sort of my dads got a hold of it for me, kept getting to many speeding tickets :-( I miss it dearly a nissan 300zx targa top, it is lovely in burgundy with plush velvet seats and an orange lit dash 0hhhhh made me excited every time I drove it! hence the tickets.
