heavenlywild: It's interesting isn't it? If a girl told a guy that he had a good body, the guy would actually be - well, generally - be happy. The guy would get a smack if it was the other way round:)

Interesting... I was thinking exactly this other day.

The only way say, a guy can compliment a guy, would be to compliment on their phones, laptops or gadgets, haha Tongue out

Another thought - girls can compliment other guys and they don't take this as "flirting". However, as soon as a guy says something about another girl's looks, wham... the sofa becomes your friend for the night!

Did you get the message the same way I sent it? I was referring to girls talking about guys, and guys talking about girls. Nothing about guys talking about guys...

Yep I got what you meant freitasm. I just had a "women are from Venus, men are from Mars" moment. Comparing the acceptable behaviours of each gender M-F, F-F and M-M when giving compliments.

robjg63 talking about bringing back memories good old Alexi Sayle was a crack up back in the day.

Richms that's funny i can certainly see where being misheard would not work in your favour. Actually a former work colleague and I used to use that comment about the beautiful women at our workplace except we would add a little extra on the end of 'Nice Boots' which really left no room for confusion about what was trying to be said hehe.

Another friend who works at McD's tells me when they have hot girls/women go instore they would yell out something like BigMac or McMuffin or something like that so the others knew to come have a look around.

It is a sad world though that we can't compliment people most of the time without people thinking we mean something else.

Women are not from Venus and men are not from Mars .... Women are from Pluto and men are from Goofy.

Haha I remember Alexi Sayle on ''The Young Ones'' show. He played as the nutty landlord if I remember right. The Young ones was an excellent comedy Rick, Neal and the punk rocker forgot his name flatting together, favourite was Rick for me.

TVNZ should play reruns. Be worth seeing again.

I worked at a very busy McDonalds store when I was at uni and we had a similar thing. If there was a hot girl on register 3 we'd say 10-4 on 3, 10-4 on 5 for register 5 etc. Apparently one of our regulars caught onto it (probably because we weren't too subtle when someone made a 10-4 call) so it got changed to "cheese on 3 nuggets" for register 3, "cheese on 5 nuggets" for register 5 etc. We also made up a bunch of extra calls for rating certain attributes, like alpha-1-8 meant about 18 years old. We got pretty bored in the kitchen....

The Young Ones is a show I can watch time and time again, a real classic, bonus that I have copys of both seasons.
'Bottom' was sequal, it also starred Rick and Vivian

Yeah - three great shows - I would probably have to say that Bottom is probably the best of them really.

While it is a little more recent, it is the classic 2 guys (yes sometimes some others) and one room sort of setting - They really dont make that sort of sitcom anymore.

Used to love that over the top cartoon like violence as well - How many times did the frying pan get a work out!

Bottom wasnt a sequel - they were 'different' characters - Edward Elizabeth Hitler (No relation) and Richard Richard.
