Wow...the responses are heavily tipped towards fancier vehicles. Let me throw my cheap response. I drive a red 1999 Toyota Hiace diesel ex-courier van...with mag wheels no less...and dog cages in the back!

Android user, software developer, a semi-typical (not a gamer) geek, and a Bernese Mountain Dog nut!

Haven't worried about it. Occasionally visited the forum about servicing tips, etc. but had more luck on the UK site.

I think I am the worst one around here:

1996 Holden (Opel Rebrand) Vectra, 2L that doesn't like working properly, was awesome at the start when I first bought it less than a year ago, but now it's had quite a bit of repair work, etc and the engine just decides to cut out when it feels like it, and the computer keeps shutting off a cylinder despite there being nothing wrong with it.

Other than that, when the car does work it's a real joy to drive, and looks really nice (Metallic Dark Blue with Tinted Windows) - Would take a photo except I really do need to clean it, the pollin is attacking at the moment and I am finding after a day it's dirty again >.<

New baby purchased in the last few weeks.

Panther Kallista 1.6, somewhere less than 1500 produced, this one is a 1984 1.6L 5 speed manual.

Hand built by Panther Westwinds in the UK, aluminium body on a steel box chassis. Ford 1.6 CVH under the bonnet (Escort XR3 amongst others), front wheels & brakes are same as Cortina, rear wheels, diff, brakes are same as Capri, gearbox is 5 speed Sierra. Much of the rest is Panther's own.

Style is clearly drawn from Morgan (4/4 etc). Both hand built cars, in the 30s roadster style, main difference is this is aluminium and morgans are wood, oh, and about 5 times the price.

Panther Westwinds no longer exists sadly.

Needed a little doing for a WOF but no majors, it's all legal now, and just a totally beautiful car to drive, got some pep too.

I Drive a 1.6 1996 Subaru Impreza GL 5 speed manual.
Not that flash but she's cheap on fuel which is a bonus and it's has been a very reliable vehicle over the two years I have owned her.

1989 Nissan EXA, black. It's only the second car I've ever owned (first was a smurf blue 1989 Austin Metro which I wrote off

) and I've owned it for the majority of its life. I've spent a fair bit on repairs over the years (change the cambelt - lesson learned!), but overall I'd say it's pretty reliable. Reliable enough to keep it around until it finally dies anyway.

Ouch!! That is one hell of a service! What did they sting you on Mauricio? Parts or Labour?

My Commodore goes in for service only every once and a while, but oil changes and regular stuff is done by me.

Got a friend who works for Holden who ,if im lucky, can squeeze me to run a full computer diag on her.

Full car ownership history...

1973 Nissan Datsun 1200 Coupe - was all original with no rust. . Should have kept it, collectors item now.
1983 Mitsubishi Tredia GLS - Damn that thing could motor :D
1991 Ford Telstar GL S/wagon - nice car, good power and plenty of room
1996 Subaru Legacy GT - Was pretty much GTB standard however. Damn nice car. Sold for house.
1995 Toyota Cynos Juno - Great little car, Id get another if I could. :)
1989 Mitsubishi Galant GLX - Mint condition for its age.
2004 Nissan Wingroad s/wagon - good little car, economical. Current car.
