richms: $3-4 plus $3-5 is almost the current cheapest 2talk plan, and you are on the rates of your toll provider for the diverted calls, you get no call record or IVR features, and all your outgoing calls from home will have the number you have decided is the business number so people will call back on that and divert to the mobile when it might be for someone else in the household.

At 21c a min vs whatever telecom are extorting now, the extra few dollars will be saved pretty quickly, and if you go for the 2talk option you can fire up a sip phone from anywhere you have reasonable internet and make calls from the bountiful included mins.

Just a few questions, do i have to use a voip phone to use 2talk or could i use a headset attached to the computer?

Also i came across a google add for 2talk which had 0800 numbers for $10 a month but with the website being completly flash i can't find it on their anywhere, has anyone else found their 0800 number pricing?

I couldn't find a 2talk price for an 0800 number on a personal plan, only on a business plan, it's $6/month on that.

Personally i'd find 2talk too limiting for my business line. If people want to reach me I want them to be able to, not dependant on being at my PC or in a WiFi coverage area.

Just switch your mobile to Vodafone, their plans are competitive enough, and get their 0800.

I can get any calls forwarded to my mobile though, and the costs would be included in my free minutes.

They have changed plans so many times, when I got my 0800 it was just another option to choose when adding a number to the account like the 09 and 04 ones.

Fowarding to the mobile means that they are not worried about the 2talk being accessed thru internet, but it is there as an option if you want to use it. When I priced it up the only call that 2talk 0800 was more expensive than another one (VF I think) was when it was a mobile calling the 0800 and it going to another mobile, and it was only cents different.

Do they really include forwarding to a mobile in your free minutes? Calls to mobiles are usually charged at higher rates by most companies. If they do then it's worthwhile. Plus, as a bonus, throw away your home phone line and save $40/month.

Forwarding to a mobile is free if people call you on your 028 number. 2talk make money from this as the money they receive from inbound termination rates to 028 numbers means they can forward to a mobile.
