Sorry can't help you.

The only way i even get the address start date question asked is if i entered a future study start date (e.g. 14/2/2011) in the eligibility test.
When i enter a study start date of 7/2/2011 it doesn't ask me that question at all - the final question on the page is the suburb.

I suspect you may not have entered 7/2/2011 as your study start date :p

Suggest you call them first thing monday (8am) otherwise you will be waiting a while at this time of year!!

I just have to say something regarding one of the earlier posts.....

"Studylink doesn't make it easy..." Umm that's utter rubbish if it wasn't easy then why would they have over 80% of applications completed online??? (In fact to be honest i believe it's closer if not over 90% now).

You only have to read the OP's comment about what the problem was to see it was his error not the application form itself.

It pisses me off the amount of slack that students that give Studylink grief or complain about things when they (being Studylink) are literally the middle man that relies on information first from the student then from the Education Provider that determines eligibility. If either end don't do their part how the hell do you expect Studylink to do theirs???

Easy Daisy!

I agree with you BUT....
Web designers need to assume that their target market is not too good at paying attention. If they find they are getting an increase in the volume of calls regarding online applications, then they need one of two solutions:

1. Raise the IQ of NZ students
2. Lower the IQ required to power their online portal.

I think that it is probably a tad to hard to do the first one. ;).

?

Almost everyone i knew who is going to uni was texting me with their problems applying online, i held an operator from studylink on the phone till i was done cause i couldnt be bothered wasting hours on it.

Also , when you complete the online part studylink send you some mail.
Can we have your birth certificate?
Sure.
Now we need evidence of parents income
Sure.
Now we need id
Sure.
Ird number proof
Sure.
Proof your studying
Sure.

Now thats the part that makes no sense at all. Instead of asking for people to send all those items at once, they ask for one
Thing at a time leading to a lengthy period of staleness while students are wondering if they will get approved or not.
I got approved yesterday, 2 months of waiting. 1 day of online application and 2 months of sending stuff back n forth.
