nickd: @robbyp: You worry over nothing.

Are you 100% sure about that? It may not affect you straight away, but the long term effects... I am very careful with what I eat and only buy quality food, usually grown/made in NZ or Australia if I can. Food with artificial colors and flavors can make kids hyperactive too.

I just hope you didnt design the flavour range for a particular 'kiwi' range of potato chips..... I would like to know the muppet who let them goto production.

Are you talking about the ones with a kaitai fire flavour which tastes like they have left that out or something?

My family is in the food product business. My motto is your body is a temple. So I am into food that is as natural as possible, or doesn't have any more than 5 ingredients. Anything artifical I try to avoid.
For confectionary I would only buy NZ or Ozzie made, where you know the food standards are very high, too high in my opinion in many cases.

The NZ Herald has a Saturday column (for want of a better word) "Wendyl Wants to Know" there have been a good few of those 3 digit codes that have being banned overseas (USA/Canada etc) but not here, that sound really horrible.   Example: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/news/article.cfm?c_id=6&objectid=10705771

So the whole "Buy NZ/Aussie Made" statement for food isn't really that great if you are for instance allergic to Carmoisine.

Personally, I just look at the back of the label, if there are too many 3-digit codes, or if they've put the proper terms and it reads as something to the effect of "Crude Oil" I'm not buying that.

To the topic, I didn't buy a Bag of Crap this time round, the last time I got a Fishing Knife set, and the previous time I got a pair of flip-flops that I think ended up in the trash.

as in, you put clothes or whatever in the bag, hook the vacuum up to it and it sucks out all the air to compress it.

Arg those vacumn bags are certainly crap. Actually bought them off 1day and they don't stay vacumn packed. Ended up throwing them out.
