Shot of label. With the cheap transformers you don't need to worry about that part I think.

By the way, it is appearing for $399 on pricespy, which must be getting close to = US price + shipping +  transformer + uncertainty.

Also if you get it from the US, the tuner will have issues here, while some devices allow you to change to a 0.1 spacing on FM and whatever AM uses here (9 I think) - the deemphasis isnt selectable on the gear I have had a play with. If that matters to you is debatable since I doubt the response of the speakers in that are anything near flat.

richms: ..

Could be a pretty lame turntable to use mains for the clock source. Quartz lock has been the norm since the 70s? My old first gen 1200 was certainly not using the mains power for anything since it was rock solid even running on a generator that was going all over the place freq wise.

This TT was purchased in the early 60's so quartz lock wasn't exactly the norm then.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

I looked on Pricespy a couple of weeks ago, and it wasn't showing then I promise!  For $399 there is no contest in terms of getting it from NZ vs the US.  I was only looking at the US because I couldn't find it available here in NZ...

Thanks for the heads up!

Just to close this thread off, I managed to pick up the Boston Acoustics Duo-i here in NZ.  The place that had it listed for $399 via Pricespy, also had it listed on Trademe for $349.  So I waited until the last hour of that action and placed my $349 bit.  It arrived at my office this morning!

Thanks to all for their help.
