I thought I would read their web site, there is 30 minutes I wont get back, but anyhow, one big point they over look
in all of this God DID NOT write the Bible men did, again and again and again until a succession of Kings and Popes decided it was acceptable politically.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I've always wondered that, how they always refer to it as the word of god but its written by man. So if they're going by something that wasn't written by god, how can they say that "blah blah is a sin because god says so", when he actually didnt?

What I was taught at school:

2 Timothy 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

Never heard of the May 21 raptured day - would love to see an interview with one of their members a day later...

Nokia2012: I don't no if it will happen or not but if it does happen will there isn't much I can do about it. So why worry about it why worry about things that we can't control.

I also don't believe that man will know when the world will end it will happen with out warning.
That's my belief

I'm pretty sure it says somewhere in the Bible that we don't know when the day is coming. But they said sat. is the day because its 7000 years after Noahs boat thingy. 7000 starts with 7 as in the whole 7th day thing. Its fascinating how people spin that stuff. Lol. Like English teachers really. Spinning minor details in books into a completely different plot line, ie. blue car on a nice day.

Author = blue car is cool, doesnt show dirt and its summer
Teacher = blue car represents the characters deep depression which links with him driving the car to the pet shop where be buys a kitten and its sunny outside showing that there is light at the end of the tunnel and hope for everyone blah blah blah.

Just my little rant

i always thought the same thing about analysing the books , and i imagined the author sitting there going HUH its blue because i like blue cars and back to subject, im waiting for the explanation from them when nothing happens , it will be just as crazy i imagine

Common sense is not as common as you think.

you all do realise it is an extremely extremely tiny tiny fraction of a percent of "christians" who believe this nonsense?

[and I'm greatly overstating the number here...]

I hear a rumour they've already rented more billboard space.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

LOL, and that is one of the reasons why I don't believe any of the loony extreme fringe of "christians" who believe they know when He is coming

Who remebers the Y2k bug back in 2000 I was working for the local school as the network admin and was told to install the Y2k update the Minstrey of Ed had sent us before New Years.  I never did, I just didn't believe that pc's would fail once the clocked tick over to 2k. Come 2000 nothing happened.

As for end of the world according to the Bible no one knows except God himself not even the Son Jesus Christ knows.  The signs are all there in the Old and New Testament your know the last days (days meaning years) by what events happen around the world. We are in the last days but whether the end is just around the corner no one on this planet can predict that day.

One of the clear signs from the Bible mentioning of the last days is there shall be an increase in knowledge (technology, computers, WWW etc) There shall be an increase in violence, rumors of wars nation against nation, (eg civil arguments/clashes/violence)an increase in earthquakes in divers places (cities near oceans). And one more thing when these things are in place be warned an earthquake to end all earthquakes will strike this EQ will shake the whole world causing utter chaos around the world up to 2 billion people will die from it (a quarter of the worlds population).  Then after this mighty EQ to top it off millions will starve and a world war will trigger ending in man nearly destroying himself.

Of course this is all Bible stuff and no one believes that God and Jesus stuff anymore we are to powerful to have a god we are gods in ourselves so why need one to look up too?

Have a nice day...

Yeh I can't understand why people would believe there is something out there that made us, pretty much to destroy us later. It kinda of make it sound like a child. Builds a tower out of Lego or whatever kids play with, then smash's it down for the fun of it. Doesn't god love all his children? (just saying I mean no disrespect to christians/religious people out there, I don't have the same view point on this as you so I'm only saying what I personally believe is true)

We should all put signs outside our houses saying "The end is coming.... pull up a chair and watch the show!"

Been there, tried that (christianity I mean).

Wasn't for me, but I am a great believer of the whole "Don't mock it till you try it" saying.

Personally, I find it sad that a church has said these things. They have put a fear into people that may or may not come true. It rings bells of the hype that happened after Ken Ring made mention of a larger earthquake.

There is a billboard in Hamilton with the following saying on it:

"There probably is no God, so stop worrying about it and enjoy your life"

I think that makes the most sense that I have seen in a long time!

We are only "around" for a short time, so why waste this time fretting over things that, in the end, are not that important. (Note, I am not mocking christians at all, different people live their lives differently and have different views on what makes them happy and what "the end" entails)
