freitasm: The thing about CurrentCost is the integration with Google PowerMeter... Other devices don't have it, and your data is as good as your PC is ok.

Reading Engadget this morning I notice PowerMeter is being 'retired' by Google soon. :(

Current Cost run their own service at my.currentcost.com

Google stopped any investment in new functionality for power meter a while ago.

Microsoft Hohm is still going. Don't know if it is open to NZ yet. Good opportunity for them.

Yes, I am just keep using my.currentcost.com anyway. Looking there a couple of days ago I noticed a lot of new applications (cloud and PC based) to control and monitor your usage, using their API.

You can get an Owl electricity monitor from Trademe at the moment for $119. These are pretty popular in the UK.
