you have to remember 100s of users use a vpn its shared..
so all they could tell is one of the 100s did something
now some vpn dont keep logs
others do and will forward on the notice but wont
leak your identity.. just have to hunt around and ask
admin questions.. anyhow this is off topic

I hope the first person is a MP cos someone in their or hers house
hold did something.. now that be very funny news item

but seriously how easy is it to download
copyright material and not even know it
very easy,, you go on a name of a file
you dont know contents until got it all but
then its too late

how fair will this law be.. not very

oxnsox: OK... soo back on Topic.

I'll vote for Paul Brislen.
C'mon Paul, get Tuanz to take one for the team. (An outfit with the street cred to challenge it.) Before some poor solo Mum, who most likely will be the first to reach 3 strikes, has to wear her heart on 7pm TV and drive us all nuts.

Anyone who gets to 3 strikes is an idiot and deserves it?

Though I do agree on that.

Excuse me! Cite your facts. I regularly write apps for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, webOS and many other platforms. Your claims are baseless.

Why would a mac user itunes fan care that it is bloated junk which installs needless services that slow boot consireably on a windows machine?

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

See, Macs are better (for iTunes) ;)

Now back to the OP....

I read yesterday that Telecom ( at least as of late yesterday afternoon) had received no notifications, don't know about the other ISP's. Maybe there won't be the huge rush after all?

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Probably not clear that they could do it 21 days before the law so just waiting. Why rush into it?

I doubt much is going to happen from this law, It's so easy to bypass it. I've got hostizzle's free VPN service set up with OpenVPN, 100GB free a month. The free speeds aren't the best but it's fine for me. As an extra I have peerblock set up, wont be doing much as I'm using the VPN but meh I just haven't bothered to exit it.

hostizzle also do a paid option 1TB a month with a 1Gbps connection for $4/Month.
