From what I understand from Information I read on different sources , That's Auckland offices can't run of full capacity due to lockdown level 3 , so therefore paper applications in Auckland will be slower to process, because some part of their system need to be access physically to complete process, still some work can be done remotely but can't be completed

Online Applications it can be processed from any DIA office, so my guess now that Auckland officers are processing some part of online applications when they are WFH , then transfer applications to another officer in Welly to complete application , maybe that's why we are seeing currently faster online processing.

I am waiting for this request to be answer https://fyi.org.nz/request/16664-citizenship-paper-applications#incoming-64216 , hopefully tomorrow to give us more idea about paper applications.

Congrats!! We are still waiting to be assigned to a case officer

If you apply first week of January , there is high chance you already have an officer ,

confirmation of details email usually send after some checks is done. not when application allocated to officer.

Thanks, everyone!

@Jr11 Looks like it would be 10-12 working days once you receive email to confirm your details.

Man life is really handing us lemons. INZ have told my guy he needs to provide a fresh PCC from India, despite the fact he hasn't left NZ for the 2 years since his last one was issued. Getting a PCC out of India could potentially be a nightmare with no ETA. Anyone with any ideas on how we could expedite it, glad to hear.  He is dealing through a Immigration Lawyer who has told him he isn't allowed to contact INZ directly for fear of jeopardizing his application, so we can't even plead with IMZ to make an exception or grant a work visa temporarily whilst the PCC arrives.

So stressful for us and him.
