I would put it in the living room and put the old 40" in the garage (man cave) to watch YouTube videos when doing woodworking projects. Totally unnecessary but would look cool!

Throwing in an entry before I forget and miss out!

It would be great to have a decent spec TV for sim games, effectively being used as a large PC monitor, an upgrade from my dual 24" 1080P displays.

This would be a great replacement for my aging 40" Samsung dispay, which has seen better days 😅

Not to mention, it would pair perfectly with my Xbox Series X to play Ori and the Will of the Wisps at a crisp 120Hz

To replace my ancient 20y+ 32" Philips LCD TV (not smart) which refuses to stop working. Picture with recent newspaper and the still working remote control.
From a time a FlatTV was kind of a new thing :-)

this would be awesome for the home office! I haven't managed to convince the SO to go for an OLED unfortunately!

20 years old and had to remove the controls or the ghosts would change the channel and volume randomly. Could do with an upgrade.

That brings back memories. We had a Sharp TV many years ago that turned itself on in the middle of the night and the volume all the way up.

We had that television for a long time and went through multiple remotes.

My mother (who lives with me) has a 2010 Panasonic Plasma TV that's seen better days (see below) which she uses for Freeview and casting via Chromecast - the latter of which has always proven to be temperamental. I have wanted to replace it for some time, but she insists I not spend the money on something 'frivolous', nor will she buy a new TV, being a cost-conscious pensioner. I know if she had a smart TV and no longer needed to endlessly mess around on her phone and could easily navigate via remote, she'd love it (as well as saving me time troubleshooting the connection at least once a week!).

Would love to upgrade my TV that I use in my bedroom. I said for years I didn't want one in there, but it's a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. This would make daytime watching a dream!

Well I've just wall mounted a 77" LG OLED in the lounge. Adding slats, hiding cables, adding in wall surrounds and rear surrounds.

I have a Panasonic 42" 720p LCD TV in the bedroom that looks to be a perfect candidate for upgrading to a LG 42" OLED. I'll wall mount it too.

Just saw this thread !

So a last minute entry   :)

I'd like it as a replacement for my 15 year old Samsung 32 which has had a good run (only one warranty repair) but has started to show signs of electronic alzheimers

:(

Photo from when I bought the Samsung in 2010 !

:)
