I use my mobile phone (cheap-o Motorola w385) for almost all of my calls. I'd certainly try out TimeToCall if I needed to get in touch with somebody long distance!
Here is my current device (been a while that I have had this one now!):
I use standard phone calls for 90% of my calls as WinMo 6.5 doesn't really have many other options, so I would try out other things like Time to Call if I my device supported it.
(edit - removed double up picture. Sigh I am too tired...)
Im running an SGSII on vf, i'm using skype & viber as well as my plan minutes. I am debating dropping the homeline and flicking across to a naked plan as mobile and more so voip is the way moving forward...
Intl roaming will become a thing of the past with solutions like vonage, people will buy local data packs to use such apps
I really want to win this iPad so I can give it as a gift to my mom. My mom and dad are in Malaysia, my sister is in the Philippines, my 2 brothers are in Europe and I am in Colorado. My mom would always remind us to call them once in a while because they miss us so much, and due to our busy schedules, we sometimes forget. We are all planning to have a family reunion in November and an iPad 2 would be a great gift for my mom so she can keep in touch with us and be able to see us through face time too! If we get busy and can't call her as often as she wants, she can get to reading ebooks on the iPad too, that way she won't get too bored. Her phone right now is just an old Nokia cellphone that can only do calls and texts. Unfortunately, I can’t afford an iPad so I am joining this contest and having my fingers and toes crossed.
Will I get her Vonage's Time to call on the iPad? Definitely. Our landline here at home is Vonage and I am really happy we switched from Qwet to Vonage. Our phone bills don't go through the roof, and unlimited call anywhere in the US.
Presently for all my calling needs, I use our landline phone. If I owned a Ipad, I would be very interested in trying Vonage Timetocall plan. Thanks so much.
