As I said, I am just trying anything I can think of that has changed since I noticed the 'cramp' in the leg (Feb - same time as new job) which then developed into soreness in the groin (mid May).

Bed was changed in mid March

I'd rather not get a new bed if I can help it ($ is tight) so trying to avoid that path.

Can understand why I am sore and why sitting all day is bad, but I am confused as to HOW or WHY NOW after years of sitting on my backside either at work (2006 I started office work) or years of sitting on my backside after work 'relaxing'.

Changed beds over the weekend to a spare single.
I don't think my issue is with the bed at all ... (unless 3 days is not enough time for the body to adjust)

Back to the drawing board and to try and get another doctors appointment

Spoke to my podiatrist this morning and he was leaning towards Sciatica but obviously without seeeing you would not really say but he did suggest not walking(as in your exercise/ walk to and from work) for 2 or 3 days to see if this made a differance

Interesting, its actually very hard to be a 'lazy person' on the weeks I start at 7.30 and 8.30, as I am able to park a good distance from work on a free park and have the time to walk to work. During the hour lunch time I wouldn't have a clue what to do with myself if I didn't head out for a walk and the dogs will 'murder' me if I ignored them and didn't take for a walk.

Slightly easier on the weeks I start 9.30am (every third week) as if I leave home late I generally park in a car park building just behind work, and in winter it is dark enough to not take the dogs for a walk -- lunch time would be the biggest issue.

Being lazy is completely anti everything I have been told so far.

Heading to the podiatrist this afternoon, am hoping that comes up with something as since the weekend I have found out more about what specifically causes the pain (i.e. the movements I must make in order to hurt)

Podiatrist didn't have the expertise to treat groin, but followed Osteopaths advice of stretching due to muscles from waist/hips to knees being far too tight and not relaxing; possible issue of the introduction of hill walking into daily routine has shocked muscles.
