Nope, still wrong. The form only asks you to confirm that you are actually consenting to being a director, and that you aren't disqualified. You don't agree to anything.

The penalties are even bigger for lying than not returning it you know...
I have filled these Statistics Department questionnaires in nearly every year for my business for the last 20+ years. The information is used for assessing how NZ businesses are doing in NZ and overseas regarding sales and expenses. Businesses are picked at random and you have no choice but to fill them out.
If you have good business records the job is easier. I have had to make a "best effort" estimate on some questions where our accounts don't break sales down to the level they expect. e.g. a breakdown of hardware bought/sold down to the level of cables, printers, hard drives, etc.
After a few years you know what figures to look up and the job can be done in less than an hour.
Come to think of it I haven't received this year's questionnaire yet - it's probably in the mail. I don't like doing them but it has to be seen like a census form that must be filled in. It's like doing your GST, PAYE, and business tax return. We're only a small business but you can't avoid the paperwork.
