I'm surprised that he hasn't mentioned that he's "a true man of god" like some of those African scammers do, in an attempt to impress people. Innocent

I liked the way you got him onside by criticising his spelling and grammar but deliberately misspelling grammer yourself ;)

I can be (my folks still live in good ol rewa) but I have no experience with SLRs.

I'm at our Manukau branch later today, but I'm in same boat as Nate, no experience with SLR's.... should we go for a laugh anyway Nate ? :)

Also, maybe its just the photo, but the boxes for the phones look too thin compared to the box for my iPhone 4....

Ive asked him for more images of the box with a recent paper in view....

If anyone has done a google image search for the image they've used there are hundreds of copies of it all linked to relatively dodgy sites i'd never visit... The image clearly isn't his.

It's terrible that Wheedle aren't doing anything about this. How many people need to get ripped off before they will take action?

On this auction in answer to a question he states his lowest price is $400 yet the auction show "Reserve met" with the highest bid at the time I looked of $350.

All listers products withdrawn as at 9.46am

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

It's good his listings are gone before someone got scammed (hopefully).

OT
It's the little things about Wheedle that bug me... Looking at the users listings it says "0 current item."

Now, there's only one time that that terminology will work, when there is only one item... any more, or less, and it should say "x current items". Surely, if they were being lazy and not capable of coding the different text, based on number of listings then the times the s is required outweighs the times it isn't? It's like reading the guys listings, bad grammar on an expensive listing makes me very very sceptical.

I sent the seller an email in my official capacity advising them to remove all listings and not to accept any payments from sales they may have already completed. Five minutes later all items were removed.

I could follow it up but I can't be responsible for all of the dodgy stuff that is going to happen on wheedle if they don't have enough staff to even look at auctions when notified they could be scams. I reported three of the auctions from this seller and wheedle did not respond to any.

Not good enough and if wheedle think they are going to try and challenge trademe the first they need is a safe place to buy and sell goods.

Like I said the one interesting thing about this scam was that there was a Kiwibank account so it is possibly a nz based scammer.
