For something even more bizzare than the anti-fluoride activists, there's always the good old Chemtrail conspiracy theory. They passionately believe that the water-vapour contrails left by aircraft are really chemical or biological agents that are being deliberately sprayed at high altitudes by shadowy government agencies for sinister and undisclosed purposes.
There have been a few letters to the editor in the Dompost about it recently. .

freitasm: Someone noted in an article yesterday (sorry, won't be looking for it) that three million people have access to security systems with Top Secret clearance in the USA.
It would be too much to expect complete secrecy all the time with this many people around.
