rayonline: Anyone done this recently?

I have done this before successfully.  I just cannot get it done.  dSLR new or old.  50mm or 85mm.  F2 or F5.6.  Flash or no flash.  It always says shadow behind head but I don't see any shadow.  Wallpaper or painted walls.  A few metres in front. 

May have to get it printed and get the referee to sign at the back of it ... and snail mail it .....


Slightly related:

In the UK if you want a passport type photo, pretty much any shopping centre, large railway station etc has a booth you sit in, put the right amount of change in and it produces 6 passport photos of you in a couple of minutes.

I've never seen even one such booth in NZ. Why?

old3eyes:Don't know the answer to your last question  but it erks me that it is still a 5 year passport.  When the Clark Gov  introduced it they said that our trading partners  required a 5 year passport as they were moving to it as well.  Well so far no one has  they're all still on 10 year ones so it was a great con job to double  the passport costs and sucker NZ fell for it.  Imagine the out cry if your 30 bus pass suddenly became a 15 day one but still cost the same amount.  Same goes for a passport but as the government has a monopoly on these things they can get away with it..


A lot of countries have 5 year passports
