If I want it, I probably already have it.

Not too bothered by Xmas, so volunteered to work night of Xmas and Boxing day.
Small person too small to know what xmas means anyway.
Probably different next year.

Always pays to keep the roster person happy to maximise the chances of getting the days off later in the year when I really must have specific days off work.

The wants list is large but know i won't be getting anything on it haha. They will require my own investment

A lot of them have already been listed but a few items being:

Large BBQ, thinking 4-5 burner
Logitech boom (have the mini boom, need more sound)
DJI Phantom 2
New phone, nexus 5 is getting a little slow. G3, HTC Desire Eye

In reality i need none of it, as stated its a wants list, they can all wait :)

KiwiNZ: For me not a lot but for my wife a new Smartphone she smashed the screen on her P7.

Looks like she will buy a new phone so there is one present sorted , she is in Shenzhen at Huawei  right now and it looks like it will take quite a while to get the screen replaced.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Santa is bringing me a brand spanking new house with big mancave!!!

I'm hoping Santa has some change left over to also get me some nice new KEF Q700 speakers to replace my 20 yo Infinity floor standers.

A relatively inexpensive NAS to store my movie/music collection, and organise my backups, as my present to myself. Couple of drives for this to be purchased later, when I can afford them (hopefully January)

Likely a modestly priced but cleverly thought out surprise from the GF, which will invariably be something that had never occurred to me.

A couple of cold craft beers and Christmas mince pies, accompanied by a good home-cooked dinner with the somewhat extended family. Followed by an afternoon snooze with my feet up.

A cheesy plastic toy from a Christmas cracker, that also comes with a paper hat and bad joke.

That's all I want or need. I'm looking forward to it.

I think I like the sound of that big 'Man Cave' best.  An old buddy once told me, 'He who dies with the most toys wins' and while I'd like to make that a long time off, it sounds good advice to me. :-)

Since I'm the stone age,

A new phone that can display html not just plain text email.

Two new shocks for the car, and a small caravan/pop-up camper to take the daughter away during school holidays more.

Ultimately though, a new job.

My 2 1/2 year old has finally got a grasp of Christmas and Santa. Watching her open her presents will be be the only thing I'm particularly interested in. She went to get her photo with Santa on Sunday and was literally jumping up and down with excitement waiting in the line. Kids really do make this time of year special.

We got UFB for a few yrs now, still old computer.  Hope for a new job.  Should I get a perm job I could pick up some computer parts and expense it while I am now a contractor.  Contractor role ends just before Xmas.  Don't do the gifts thing, we get stuff and people like my parents just don't use, better for a meal together or other times help them out like once mum went to Canada to see her mum.  Might pick up a Samsung cheapie Blue Ray player for the TV.  Our DVD broke down for a few yrs now, just don't really use it but the parents say the odd time to play a disc might be handy and we have no other things to get off Flybyuys and they are due to expire.

If I get a job pay myself a bit more as I overspent a lil I follow a spreadsheet plan and only spend a certain %.  After that with that job, would be nice to get a AirNZ grabaseat somewhere for a wee break.  I didn't travel anywhere this year or after May 2013 just 10 days in Japan.  Not even a 5hr drive away.  As a contractor for this current role only taken 1 Friday took a couple of newbies to the white mountain for a weekend.  No sickness.  Worked like a machine.  Stayed home last year Xmas / New Yr and and this year and every other stat holiday basically.

I get to fly over to NZ for 12 hours on boxing day, pick up my daughters (5.5 and 11), and bring them to my house for 3 weeks! laughing

Then sometime in late Jan, I'll have an empty bank account.

Totally worth it!
