Presso: I guess the funny thing is that it was one of my staff that sent it to me , they were not to keen on elaborating on what it actually did mean or why they did not turn up for work last night.

I foresee many awkward silences in the very near future for this individual in particular.  It would be even funnier if you elaborated on the excuses given! :D

That's hilarious! Slight facepalm moment right there.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

I have to admit I had no idea what the heck it was saying. That said I have difficulty with 97.5% of the txt shorthand

Of course, if your staff member is Big Harry The Fist and you are the current Mr Asia, it all makes more sense....

I would have thought cheap texts and smart phones with Swype etc would be the death of text shorthand.  It's easer and faster to use the real word.

Excuse that was given was that somebody stole their phone  and that they would have to buy a new phone. Hmmmmmm ok , so during smoko while they were sitting at the table I rang their number and surprise surprise their pocket started ringing

I received a phone call from someone I know in the UK who got me mixed up with their dealer. Must have had the same name in their contacts list. It was around 11am on a Sunday morning in NZ; "can I get some sniff, we're in Piccadilly Circus and heading home soon". They sounded very drunk. I said "sure, leave the cash in my mail box and I'll come round with the gear ASAP".

I'm not sure what happened, never heard from them again, lol.

It seems it's very easy to get the wrong person in your contacts list. I just had a text from someone I haven't spoken to in months asking if I could spare a couple of hours on Sunday. They were after a different Stu.
