tardtasticx: I'm 21 and spend my Friday and Saturday nights watching Coronation Street with the boyfriend and mum. It's strangely addicting.
My other guilty pleasure is Keeping Up With The Kardashians (Don't shoot me) and Shortland Street.

Maybe add what trashy Youtube channels people watch or subscribe to. I subscribe to Adam the Woos film location videos. He's an interesting character, and he is really into the 80's stuff, like BTTF.

jonathan18: Quantico.

Potentially good premise done badly - poor writing, cliche-ridden, bad acting (the lead's clearly not shown any change in style from the Bollywood films she's come from)... It doesn't compare to something like Homeland, but we're still likely to finish the series!
It fills in the time but just implausible most of the time.

I don't know if I would go as far as to say 'bad' but certainly deteriorated over time.
Eureka
Warehouse 13
Both on The Zone (Sky) channel. And more recently on Lightbox which allowed me to binge watch and get it over and done with.

As for Lost , it's ending left me feeling cheated and that I had wasted many viewing hours on it.

The Newsroom and Studio 60. Both so pretentious, up themselves and totally Sorkin at his worst but can't stop watching. Until they got cancelled.

Heroes reborn I stopped after the 3rd episode, so terrible.  iZombie is getting very old, haven't seen the last couple of those.

I like Supergirl however, my 6 year old loves it (but keeps asking when superman will show up)

I'm impressed you made it through all episodes of The Newsroom. I'd heard great things about it from a cousin (it was mentioned in the same breath as my favourite series of all time - The Wire), so we tried one episode - and seriously we didn't even make it through that! Totally agree with your verdict of it, but given it's too po-faced and 'intelligent' to be trash TV we didn't even get a guilty pleasure out of watching it.

NCIS LA makes no sense to me, almost all of the crimes aren't navy related. They can't even get the name to match the story lines!
