langers1972: I thought it was great, awesome subtle references back to the first 3 movies throughout

"First 3" meaning eps 4, 5, 6?

I was 8 when I went to see the first movie (Episode 4) at the Regent in Ashburton. Still remember the long. long queues.

We went to see it at the 12.01am screenings at Event Queensgate (Lower Hutt). I think they had all 9 cinemas in action! It was chaos picking up tickets - so much so that screenings didn't get underway until after 12.30am. 3D was OK, best effect was when a imperial star destroyer was coming out of the screen.

Fantastic movie, but OMG.... Wow! cry But awesome! Well put together IMO.

Will definitely go see it again.

Some subtle nods and not so subtle to the original trilogy. I gave up counting when I got to 20.
I really enjoyed the movie. Loved the level of detail. Now they have set the scene, albeit similar to previous ones, I look forward to see where Disney/JJ Abrams takes us.

enjoyable but...

tired, recycled story

pretty awful acting except for harrison ford and daisy ridley

in a galaxy far, far away everyone speaks american !

it was good to look at, even the post-production 3d and i hate 3d

good sound

overall enjoyable but there's nothing new here

6/10
