@ASBBank, I wonder if you can assist me.

I have an LG Nexus 5 running Android 6.01 with the 1 June 2016 security update, and ASB Mobile Banking v3.15.0.67 (23 May 2016).  I have the 'Virtual Card' option in the ASB app, but when I select it I get the error:

"Sorry, your device does not support ASB virtual"

I have ensured that NFC is enabled.

Hopefuly you can help me to get this working, I'm really keen to get this going!!

Thanks,

Sam

Your phone is probably rooted, and rooted devices aren't supported (read this thread from the start)

In other news, I tried to use this yesterday at the local 4Square but got "Can not read card" about 4 times and then "Too many cards detected".  At this point I gave up because of the queue behind me.  I wonder if the case on my phone is the issue, or if I'm just a muppet.  Phone is a Nexus 6.

I used to get too many cards all the time with semble at the warehouse, then they fixed their readers at some stage and it stopped happening.

ASB worked fine for me on the maccas kiosk, seemed a little slower than semble but might just have been a one off. Will keep trying it and see how it works. If its fine then its goodbye semble and hello skinny on the spare phone.

Looks like its limited to a single device so will keep semble on the other phones as that doesnt need the ASB app so isnt a problem with their 3 device limit for that.

Yea I'll try it again at a Woolworths today and see if that's any better.

Even if it doesn't work, I realise it's not the ASB App's fault.

Negative, my phone is completely stock,  not rooted or modified at a system level in any way.

Yea, sorry.

Others with a Nexus 5 have reported it works, the only thing I can think of is have you unlocked the bootloader?  Maybe that would make the app not trust the platform it's running on. But I don't know so shall bow out and shut up.

Nope, no bootloader mods, nothing.  All I've done to this phone is apply the standard Android updates.

Good to know that other Nexus 5s are working tho!

Thanks anyway.

Succesfully used this last night with my S7 edge! Feels super cool. Only thing is I remember now why I had NFC turned off - I have a card wallet case and in it is my visa debit so it makes the NFC go crazy trying to read the debit card. Wondering if there is a way to turn off the NFC notification sound. or maybe I just shouldn't have the visa debit in there and just get a standard eftpos card seeing as the phone can now do paywave.

The end for Semble is near. It was a cool short term solution but now ANZ (and now ASB, one of the two Semble banks) have done their own solution, Semble seems backwards (requiring a special SIM and less phone compatibility)

Did it ever begin?
