They say about two years for battery life - there is an option in the app to increase the vibrate option and states this will decrease battery life by months.  I find the vibration as acceptable as you can can choose 1, 2 or 3 notification vibrations.

Lipex666:

Yes I have always loved watches from an early age.

Thoe smartwatches have some appeal but I have always loved a quality analogue quartz watches.

I still think my watch fits into this conversation as its is not a smartwatch nor cheap to purchase in NZ  $$

last year I came across Kronaby its a analogue quartz watch that is a Swedish company as they quote "they created a timepiece that honors our love for classic watches"

I wear the Kronaby Black Apex 43mm.  It has ticked all my boxes.

The connected features that notify me of the calls or messages they I want to be notified of are just a bonus.

Just had a look at the website.

That's a great hybrid watch! Shame it's so spendy, but then again, it looks like a nice watch as well as a connected device, so maybe not that expensive in the long run.

Yes the price was a bit of shock once converted to NZ dollars but the UK Watches2U  site do have specials and the Customs also will charge duty as well.  I prob should have got one of the family to buy for me.

I feel that as a quality quartz analogue watch compared to other watches is comparable in price and for me I had been looking for a while and once I watched this vid https://youtu.be/54wmMxi09pw I wanted it.

Yes those are nice. Damn you for adding another one to The List! yell

If you like quartz, I recommend Grand Seiko watches with the 9F movement in. As quartz movements go, it's pretty awesome - see here.

Also the Citizen Chronomaster. Both would need to be bought outside NZ as I do not think they are sold here. However, I did see a Grand Seiko ad in a NZ magazine (the Air NZ magazine I think but not sure), so perhaps they are coming soon.

Geektastic: I know a guy who imports and sells a pretty big range of modestly priced straps. I will PM you his details. If you email him and ask for a catalogue you may well find something to suit.

Great, thanks for that.
