Nothing flash so nobody would notice.

So buy a black and orange Bugatti Veyron SuperSport World Record Edition (ten a penny in South Canterbury) and a plane, pilot and airstrip so I can go sky diving whenever I fancy close to home.

DarthKermit:

  • Replace all of my old worn out items with new ones.

Would be great - get them replaced locally - rather than sit on a waiting list forever or medi-tour to Thailand.

  • DONT TELL ANYONE except my immediate family

  • DON'T TELL ANYONE especially my immediate family
  • Put money in bank in standard interest bearing account, even if that was only 1.5% it's 150k/yr before tax, more money than I ever need
  • Quietly stop working my main job, I work for myself, so nobody would notice anyway except my clients
  • Be one of those people who dies and then everybody's jaw drops when they get a million dollars each from the guy they thought had nothing

You'd probably be better to invest half the way you indicated if you are conservative, and perhaps put the rest in something a LITTLE bit riskier for a slightly better return.

Probably fit solar to the house and buy an EV. Past that I'd just be trying to keep a normal routine and give myself time to decide what I'd do.

It would make putting holes is walls around the house more affordable.

The internet can only show you so much in regards to DIY, the rest is on the fly.

A long holiday somewhere interesting. When I got sick of living out of a suitcase, buy an airfield somewhere nice with attached house, and a couple of different planes.

Now, if it was $100M, I'd buy a Gulfstream G650, fit it out as a mobile home, and cruise round the world.

I'd like to think I wouldn't change too much. Maybe a new set of socks to go with my jandals for when I go to Countdown.

If you wear socks with jandals you may need the money to buy off attackers.

... and a new onesie just to round off the image. 😀

Not up this way. Socks and jandals is on the more well-dressed end of the spectrum. Last summer, there was a guy wandering around Countdown in a speedo with his card tucked in the side.

If i had a million dollars, I would buy you some art.

A Picasso, or a Garfunkel.

You wouldn't notice anything and I'd work as a gardener for a man, who has never be seen in the public. :-)
