If nothing else at least the competition made me tidy up my setup. I'll tidy the cables a bit more yet.

This is 'after' for before see my video up-thread.

Like many things, I wish there was a magic bullet for tidy (out of side) and functional...

So my home network is quite sad and it has always secretly dreamed about being a Unifi network as it is just a hodgepodge of second hand gear off trademe or stuff that I have picked up from a guy named Bob who also sold watches at the train station.

The poor Mikrotik router just isn't cutting it and I think if I put the dream machine near it then it would feel all better.

The internet connection sometimes has issues but I don't know why,  this is a photo of the rack from one angle.

Front And the Rear

I think I am doing this right? As I would love a replacement router for home. I would then be able to post the joys of having a real network at home.

As you're all aware I did drop a little hint regarding the rules hoping people would update their posts with what was being asked to be included as an entry as per the OP. There were some excellent entries, but rules are rules and I wanted to see diagrams and photos of your actual network. There was just too much work put into entries by some individuals to not let this rule slide!

On this also, sorry to @BarTender who was disqualified for not including the Pineapple cans he uses to extend the WiFi across to his neighbor, and for intentionally trolling everyone for his inaccurate diagram. He has however won a spot price which is a full tray of canned Pineapple for his Pizza parties. I'll organize delivery on your next party (or via proxy if I am not invited, I totally understand).

So, I can finally announce the winner who has been contacted already - Congratulations @BigMal on his Guinea pig powered Network! Very interested to see your Guinea pig powered UniFi Dream Machine next!

Thanks everyone for some lockdown amusement. I look forward to doing this sort of thing again in the future!

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Thank you @michaelmurfy!

There were lots of great  entries and I'm stoked to win and also extremely grateful.

The router will be put to very good use.

The can of Pineapple that you left at my house the last time you came around is helping to improve the neighbours WiFi. The headphones helps to improve the signal to noise ratio too. The can is still waiting for you when you next come over.

Yes I am super pleased to have gotten that done. It's pup's one year birthday in 2 weeks I might re-jigger the vid into a celebration of it.
