Groucho:I remember my first RDS experience on a road trip in a from memory around a 2003 Ford Focus.
I remember, as does everyone who was around in that era, the pre-RDS ARI. You'd be going down the motorway when your listening would be interrupted by "On the motorway X to Y at the junction Z, 40km traffic jam due to a jackknifed truck". And you'd think "we're on way to Y, and Z is just ahead... oh gawd no".
And the traffic jams were always tens of kilometers.
