The Temu website shows attractive deals that are only available in the app. Click on one of those deals and the Temu website seamlessly opens the play store at the app page. It's one click away at that point. It's easy to think you're still in the browser.

As far as I can tell the deals offered in the app and to induce app installs are just bogus. Someone's kpi's are based on app installs and that someone is a wild success.

scuwp: The website is much better. Now have several shipments under my belt, choose carefully and there are some great savings to be had.

Sounds good. How do you choose carefully?

Sorry been travelling and late reply.  I think others have given examples, mostly this is around buying things that you won't be devastated if its crap. Some examples of happy purchases:

  • Backpacks for $30 (these are awesome!) - same thing in shops here easily $150+
  • Belts - probably fake leather but looks nice and lasting well - $6.
  • sports caps (running caps) $7 vs $35 here
  • Lots of travel stuff - small zip bags, luggage cubes, TSA padlocks etc - all perfectly fine for a fraction of the retail price
  • Zip toggles - bag of 20 for $3, vs a pack of 2 retail for $18
  • Christmas solar lights - just as good as NZ retail supplies for a fraction of the price

Just a selection - there have been some duds, but overall 95% of stuff has been perfectly fine and saved a ton.

DONT USE THE APP!

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

New user only and they seem to be doing something to stop you just claiming it again and again and again by deleting the app and using a different email and phone number.

And most of the deals are crap where you have to buy enough other stuff at the high prices to get the free things. Some very good value things on there but the game crap gets in the way of finding them.

The less I can support the CCP the better.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.
