Sure, but once again, cellular transmitters at the airport have been a thing since before I moved here 23 years ago.

 

 

What ever the cause the GPS interference at Auckland has only been an issue in the last 6 months or so and correlates with the 5G roll out.

 

I used to be able to tell when someone had a 3G GSM phone not on flight mode. You could hear a weak tone in the headset each time the phone polled a cell tower.

A lot of planes don’t have screens now for movies so have to use a phone ;(
