Was Telecom 025 AMPS then went Bellsouth the day they launched in Wellington, still with Vodafone.

Been handy over all those years as I used to travel a lot overseas to weird and wonderful places and my phone always worked.

Telecom XT, because it is the only network that gets coverage at the beach I work at.

Telecom since my 025 Motorola Startac days (mid 90s).. briefly flirted with Vodafone 10 years ago.. I managed to build up a $300 credit with Clearnet or whatever it was called back then.. The credit came about because any customer using an ISPs non approved prefix for dialup internet was charged some cost per megabyte by Telecom. Clear and other ISPs credited their customers the same amount on their bill.. so i managed to build up a $300 or $400 debit balance with Telecom, while having the equivalent credit with Clear.

I made a complaint to Telecom and had the majority of those charges credited.. because of all the rubbish here.. I decided to use the Clear credit to join Vodafone and purchase a phone .. another Motorola.. nice flip phone at the time..

2 years with Vodafone before coming back to Telecom, easier to deal with I believe from a customer service perspective.

Telecom, because I like to support what is largely a NZ company. Also I object to paying to call a support line, like you have to with vodafones prepay.

Personally I use neither nowdays! Prepay for personal use and telstra for business! Have used bothe telecom and vodafone in the past and found faults in both of them and positives as well.

Vodafone for 12 years then 2 degrees a month ago, because I couldn't understand why Voda wanted a 2 year contract to change plans, for nothing in return.

Vodafone.

I go through ~6 high end handsets a year, so having the maximum number of phones to select from is important to me. Telecom, even bearing in mind XT, still doesn't offer me that to a great enough extent.

Thanks today to johnr, as of today I'm on Vodafone.

I started off on Vodafone a number of years ago, went to Telecom, then to Black and White, before todays change.

Vodafone in NZ.

Firstly because my company does work for them (company E71 - brilliant phone), secondly for best-mate and those long roantic calls to my wife when I'm away from home.

Now that I'm over in the land of the foaming Fosters (well Swan actually - being in WA) the company is with Telstra and I did buy a VF sim, but I got fed up with two phones and not being able to use best-mate. Second phone now sits in my lappy bag turned off.

Now based in Perth WA.
