Would be great to win this. Currently don't have a web cam but i need to get one make video calls to friends/family back in england.

Also would be nice to have a good camera to try out some of the cool video editing and after effects techniques have seen on the net.

I would like to try out video calling using skype with my mother in Dunedin. I live in Auckland and I do visit once a year but I think this would be a big improvement over the bi weekly phone calls. If I was to win one I'll almost certainly buy another to send down to her. I already have remote access to her computer so I could set it up for her.

Shes not overly computer literate but I think she'll like this idea.

I (if I win of course) intend to give it to my wife. We recently purchased an HP laptop so she can use it to make calls via http://www.nzrelay.co.nz/How/VRS/ however it looks like we are having some compatibility issues with the software they use and the inbuilt webcam.

I currently have a crappy VGA camera that I struggle to find Win7 drivers for. My parents are away in the UK for a few months and I'd like to show them how nice and warm it is here at the moment.

I took my old webcam apart and attached it to a telescope to get the following images, processed out a ~60sec of video.  Unfortunately a one way trip - the webcam wasn't really designed to come apart

A new webcam would mean that I have a useful webcam again.

Keen as, could be handy for hooking up the HTPC and get some decent quality video calling going on with the TV. :D

Would love to have a more reliable webcam (apart from the inbuilt webcam on my laptop I currently use) to Skype by boyfriend who lives in America. We Skype pretty much everyday, so when the webcam decides to fail on us = frustration.

So new (HD) webcam means less frustration for me .. and less for him! Laughing

the webcam I no longer bother to use is some geriactric non brand name made in chinapiece of junk I brought it off TM cheap so I wasn't expecting something great as long as it could work with msn when talking to family members it was good enough. Windows XP at the time wouldn't even recognize it and I had a hell of a time finding the right drivers. Now using Windows 7 I haven't even bothered to install the webcam.

I would use the  logitech Webcam to make gameplay videos showing my awesome skills in Aion and BF2 I could use fraps to do this but a webcam would be better so I can show off my brand new 24in monitor as well. haha

I have an old Logitech webcam which does not have a high resolution so an HD webcam would be great especially as TelstraClear cable should be able to keep up. Should give a great picture on an HD TV.

That's pretty cool. I wonder how much better it would have looked if the camera was HD...

I don't have any webcam except 3.2mega pixels camera or phone camera.
If I have this webcam, I could skype with friends & family across the globe and in this cyrstal clear web cam, they could see me clearly!

Currently using Microsoft and Logitech webcams. Would love to replace the very cheap and low quality Microsoft webcam that sits on top of my TV with someone HD for Skype video calling via the Media PC on the big screen.

I was using the old PlayStation 2 Eyetoy webcam but since we upgraded to Windows 7 64bit, there are no drivers to support this camera. Gave the camera away to a friend who actually plays Eyetoy!!

I would SKYPE with this baby and create vblogs which I would post to YouTube and make the world a better place.
