timmmay: I make about 1.5L per day

Do you also drink that 1.5 litres each day? If this is 1.5L of sugary drink, do you think there might be a problem?

Yeah just water mostly, occasionally a with a little diet ribena.

Just got one from harvey normans in the sale for $77.

Did anyone find anywhere to get these refilled cheaper in auckland or else sending them off somewhere?

Also whats a good source for syrips at a better price and more flavours? Ideally dr pepper and redbull clones

Thanks for the tip! I'm in Wellington, but it suggests it can be done elsewhere.

Did you take your own adapter, or did they have one?

Surely your time and petrol exceed the value difference of just buying these occasionally?

The XStream stuff you can get at Farmers and The Warehouse is a fairly decent Redbull clone - can't speak for Dr Pepper though.

And it's official SS brand, so expect it to be about $6 to $6.50.

Yeah, Farmers has IMO the best selection of Sodastream flavours. They're all official though, no generics.

Where sells the generics? Genuine is just sitting on the worthwhile for value line, its really only viable since I dont have the fridge space to dedicate to all the drinks I would like to have.

Not seen an apple or grape from sodastream but I think my warehouse has a pretty lousy range.

Also whats the deal on smaller bottles?

Farmers actually stocks pomegranate of all things even. There's basically two sizes of bottle depending on what type it is - the "premium range" (pomegranate and suchlike) come in larger bottles, which you somehow manage to get a bit less out of. The smaller bottles are all the normal ones. Farmers also sells a "sampler pack" which makes like a litre of every flavour they officially produce.

Sorry, don't know where you can find generic brands - can't think of what to search Google for unfortunately.

I just put ribena lite in mine. You don't need dedicated soda stream flavors, anything works.

Thriftee or Quench drink concentrates make for fairly decent Sodastream flavourings

Does anyone elses sodastream slowly leak gas out when you are doing the carbonation?

A friends really old one doesnt, so if you press it till it farts, then wait a few seconds and press it again, it will fart immediatly. Whereas mine will hiss gas out slowly, so after 10 seconds or so you basically have none in there.

Im thinking that may be why I am going thru gas so quickly with it. Not tried their helpdesk yet but will do so if it isnt normal.
