I am still getting a lot of alerts around the 3 and 4s on my phone. Quite a few EQ's near Paraparaumu too, but not really feeling any of them. Maybe it is a case of getting used to them. Getting woken by an EQ is a horrible feeling I think.

Yeah mate. Still seeing them on Geonet website but looks like they have died down, mostly -4 now.

I have just installed GeoNet app to get the alerts. I'm in Tauranga but this really scared me. I have a few close friends that live down there..

I've installed the app, living in Adelaide. My little girls live in Raumati... I have alerts set for anything over a 5. :-/

Anyone know how Seddon, Blenheim, and Picton are doing?

I wonder how EQC are going to handle this? Fair is fair I say, and so the beehive can wait 2.5+ years to even be acknowledged of damage, never mind fixed. And then they can be told it's preexisting.

The problem is that the Civil Defense headquarters is underneath it. They have just spent many many millions doing it up too.

We had powerlines down here in Blenheim, a few people i know were without power for quite a while. The town clock stopped at 5:09 but didn't fall down, it was just earthquake strengthened a few months back to stop that from happening (with much complaining from Joe public).

Apparently the Petone clock has stopped at 5.10pm when the 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck.

it would need to be cut out then filled but it will be visible no matter how good a job is done

Sika have products to do this. If it has sunk you can get it lifted using a process called slab jacking.

I have some small cracks in my driveway siding, just cosmetic I think. The existing small crack across the driveway seems to have gotten a little bigger.

My driveway is colored patterned concrete, there's no way to fix it that would look good. Should be fine though. I only had it done a couple of years ago, and it has those cuts to relieve pressure, but they didn't work.
