I bought as an upgrade from an older mid-range Android which was pretty good at the time of purchase. Now Android is pretty much a non-starter for me. Windows Phone might have critics but if you want the thing to 'just work' and you can't afford an iPhone I'd say it is hard to beat.
Pretty minor/inexpensive stuff that I bought in moments of need, but I'm happy: Logitech wireless K330 keyboard & mouse. Replaced an earlier model which looked the same but didn't withstand being trodden on - heavily and was a fail at >3m distance. This one works flawlessly when >5m from the receiver, used in our lounge room with large TV / laptop as media centre. Full sized keyboard. Cheap (IMO) at about $60. Dick Smith Bluetooth audio receiver. Over-priced at about $70, but I was desperate - and nobody except DS had anything in stock. The Asus tablet we use on our boat for media - connected to a stereo system, got dropped with headphone cord attached, the audio jack sheared internally from and destroyed the audio i/o board. Replacement board ordered via ebay (only US$20), but it won't be here in time. Pulling tablets to pieces isn't fun - I'm too old for that kind of stuff as they are jam-packed with stuff you can't really see - it prompted me to buy my first set of reading glasses ($30 - I'm happy with them too). The DS BT receiver works well - tested it on the boat, but also connected to our home hifi system (actually not really a home hifi system but a commercial PA system) and it works great - noise free when connected, great sound. MXMariner app for my android phone - about $8 (IIRC). Full NZ marine charts included. Brilliant. Veon BD player from the Warehouse - about $70 on sale. Small, lacking in front LED displays etc (which is actually a bonus) 5.1 audio out, region free DVD, and region switchable BD. No 3d (which is no loss to me), and some concern that the Veon brand might not be too flash when it come to firmware updates, if needed, but at the price, I don't care.
Nice unit! But at nearly $700 (local pricing) more than I would be prepared to spend here, but $US250 from Amazon is in the zone. Would love to put the android version of MAME onto one of those.
