As for the other comment about knee replacing etc...I do not ever wear heels

Nope, neither do I. That comment was aimed at cheap shoes. Cheap shoes typically lack any kind of sensible foot support and can lead to all kinds of issues short and long term with knees, hips, etc. Shoes are fundamental like toothbrush and toothpaste.

Geektastic: You should hear the comments my US clients make about the price/quality ratio of eating out here when I am touring with them. Not good. They expect a full breakfast with 'bottomless' coffee for no more than $10, something you probably couldn't even manage here in Maccas!

You used your apostrophe's in the wrong place, it should be a bottomless 'coffee'.

YOU use your apostrophes wrong. Period.

Haha, that is actually pretty piss poor.

Wow, this got off-topic but I always love grammar discussions, especially on apostrophes (I'm an apostrophe nazi, TBH). That said, I think it's usally better to be constructive rather than just critical of someone else's mistakes.

NZBeagle - I think you mean quotation marks, not apostrophes; and you won't need an apostrophe in the word "apostrophes" because it's a plural - not a matter of ownership (eg "Sam's cat") or contraction (eg, "it's").

And, for the word geeks amongst us, something I just learnt from Wikipedia: the way quotation marks have been used in the first post here is called scare quotes.

Why? Drip coffee is very good if you make it properly.

I do it with Jed's Number 5 beans, ground by me just before use, and German Melitta filter papers.

Much better daily drinking coffee than that espresso/froth nonsense.

You should be paid to drink American coffee. smile

But they want to drink NZ coffee...! They just want a less stingy approach to the sale thereof.

Yes, but I'm sure your coffee may be better than the bottomless they usually get.

Possibly - but what they are concerned about is not getting bottomless coffee with their breakfast, not the actual coffee per se! They see being charged $5 for every cup as a pretty big rip off.

I earn it, I pay my bills, I save for some things, I spend what's left.
You only live once, why not enjoy it?

I find it quite difficult to justify spending money frivolously, and sometimes even struggle to part with it when it is justified, something like "I'm sure I'll get another 3 months out of those shoes", even though they're clearly past their use by date.

Lol, I have 2 pairs of shoes. One pair the Mrs made me buy for a wedding.
I live in the other pair and work boots.
My money goes on gadgets. :)
The things I save for are holidays and the house.
