DarthKermit: I've seen a video that looks like cellphone cam showing these guys murdering a French policeman on the Internet already today.

I won't give the site name out, but I'm sure such videos aren't hard to find.

Ahhh good old LiveLeak for unregulated media.

You hear about these things on the news and see the cleansed media clips for the masses, but seeing unedited raw videos firsthand really takes your awareness and connection to what is happening to a new level...to a point where you feel sick.

I dont think the majority of the public could stomach it, but some people (including myself) take great interest in what is truely happening in our world, and it pays not to sugarcoat it if you really want to grasp the gravity of a situation.

These people who do these things are evil beyond anything you can imagine based on regulated media articles. God help us if that evil ever takes a strong foothold on our planet, or even worse our great easygoing country of NZ.

Always pays to have a plan just in case.

It wasn't LiveLeak this time, but I have seen some of the nasties on there.

The fluff they call news at 6pm in this country certainly doesn't show how things really are in the world today.

At least with the interwebz today, people have a choice to see for themselves what certain nutjobs are doing around the globe.

I'll admit that I have become quite desensitised from watching too many videos of extreme violence.

I've mabey only seen a dozen or so, not sure you can ever be completely desensitized to seeing someones head sawn off them while alive. Correct about the 6pm news, they would have people believe getting your head removed by a terrorist (or getting shot by AK) is quick and painless, its not.

Sick sick people, if they ever come to NZ i'm not going down without a fight.

KiwiNZ: With all due respect its really time to wake up and realise just how dangerous the world and that new procedures are need to help protect the populous.

Given we've had zero attacks on home soil related to the "global war on terror", what are the requirements for the new procedures and how can you measure their effectiveness?

So your answer is to do nothing and build them retrospectively? Good one. That works so well all the time.

No, my question was what are your reasons for claiming the current procedures are not sufficient, and proving you are not doing an automatic knee-jerk in reaction to current events.

Same way every government does

a) make lots of new legislation

b) when \ if it works once...say I told you so

c) use b as excuse to make even more legislation

Well if you don't like it you could always find a country that employs your personal beliefs for anti-terrorism, I mean there are so many choices... Oh wait?!

I believe the Government when they say their advisors who know what they are talking about advise what is needed. They are far more qualified and briefed that hmmm how can I put this? lets just say they are far more qualified and briefed.

I'd suggest a knee jerk reaction is fairly well warranted personally, and even if it wasn't, I trust the people I elected to find people considerably more knowledgeable in these things than I, and act accordingly in the interests of Kiwi's.

You know what would have the biggest impact of all, it would be easy to legislate and enforce + cheap...but our soft government and bleeding heart liberals would not stomach it.

a) kick all muslims \ refugees out of NZ
b) tear down all Mosques
c) allow only certain approved nationality's to enter NZ

Sure the majority will be peaceful good law abiding people, but if Terrorism is serious then there will need to be sacrifices made.

Far better solution that spying on people.
