I agree i have a dog shes not allowed off the property except for walks, she is fully fenced in, yet the neighbour has 4 cats that sit on our drive crapping in our garden and teasing the dog through the fence on our property. I cant let my dog wonder the streets crapping everywhere why can  cats crap where they want

Virtually every person who I know that has a vegetable garden also has a dog. Presumably so the dog will keep cats away from the vegetable garden.

jmh: Cats don't like mint or citrus, so anything containing those will deter them. 

 

 

 

I've known cats to LOVE mint, to the point of sniffing out packs of gum. It smells similar to catnip, which make sense as they're in the same plant family.

We've applied the cat rid stuff from garden shops. Not the cheapest, but not really unpleasant and haven't really seen mr cat much.

My Inlaws got a strobe sensor deterrent from Wet & Forget.

 

Also some Mitre 10's have them - I know mine does. MEGA Hornby - they are about $60 - $70.
Can double check if you want.

 

About $60 - Solar powered I think - They also emit a hi-pitched sound.
