Ski.

I used to look forward to winter, but now my knees are stuffed and my hips are stuffed (some of this may be due to excessively exuberant skiing in my youth). I don't get much pleasure out of skiing slowly and carefully enough to avoid hurting my joints, so I have reluctantly decided that my skiing days are over. frown

frankv:. I'm wondering how CRAC can charge for an instructor's time? Or does the instructor himself not get the money?

OT, but, I was Treasurer/Secretary of CRAC for a number of years and at that time I credited instructors to their club account a percentage of the instructional flight hours (I think it was like 10% or something).  The club also provided a means for students to donate to the instructors separately which the club just passed straight to them without it hitting the accounts.  I don't know how they handle it these days, I bailed out of the club some years back (for various reasons...).  A bit like joy rides, err, I mean, Trial Instructional Flights, it's all traditionally a bit grey.

rmt38:

Eat pizza every meal.

Possible with every meal providing common sense and nutritional guidelines are valued, however, I'm sure you'll get bored quickly... Some time ago, I came across a conversation in a nutritional forum about whether or not rolled oats (Uncle Toby's et. al. ) could be an only meal. Short answer 'possible', long answer 'you'd be at the end of your tether after a week' and missing a few important micronutrients.

It does sound like an interesting food blog idea, though. Maybe have a Pizza of the day and match it with a good beer? I'd subscribe.

Arawhata Bill, the old Westland explorer, was reputed to live on porridge. He would cook up a batch, eat half for breakfast, then leave his camp at the bush edge, cut steps up a snowfield towards or across a pass, then return to the camp for a dinner of cold porridge. Repeat for a few days until the cut steps reached the bushline on the other side of the pass, then pack up camp and move.

Maybe after a hard day's work a slab of cold porridge might be appealing, but I have no intention of finding out.

If I was Bill in that situation, I'd have killed for a pizza.

Sing. I can hold a tune, but to be able to *really* sing, would be truly amazing.

A musical instrument. I'd love to be able to play the Piano or Guitar well. Or the drums well enough to be in a decent band.

I suppose if I had the time (money) to stop and learn I could become proficient, but I am envious of those that are 'naturals'.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Agreed.  I can tinker but it's only halfway ok at best and only for small parts of any given song.
Would love to get myself a Brian May Red Special replica and learn how to play it.

Similarly, time and money.  Though even with unlimited of both, I'd still never be even close to the real deal.

Unfortunately diet alone isn't going to do much for a partially separated disc which is in the front side of the disc where bending forward puts pressure on the separated portion squeezing it out the back and pinching the nerves it may help with the muscular inflammation though so thanks for the link

Play musical instruments.

My head simply isn't wired in whatever way is required: even the recorder at school was a mass of confusion to me.

I'm a multi-instrumental musician and I just wish I could make a living off it.

I was in a semi-successful band but in NZ that doesn't really count for much and it barely pays the accommodation bills on the road, let alone provide a real income. I gave up in the end... which was the second time I swore off being a professional muso! Haha. I don't think I could go back to it. Maybe for fun but it's not really a viable career choice IMO. "For the love of it" only gives me so much motivation.

No worries, the scientist also has 3 Health Diagrams, which explain everything. It's heavy reading, but life changing. Years ahead of Doctors and Dieticians. Most so called health facts are just myths promoted by the food industry. $$$ talks.
