As others, I don't have dashcam, but this would be perfect device for upcoming USA trip!

Currently using a rearview mirror with dashcam builtin.

I don't currently have a dashcam. I keep telling my partner we need a dashcam. She says if we had one, we would have to mute it so it doesn't record the swearing when coming across a bad driver.  
It would be great to record those drivers who seem to have obtained their licence's from a cereal box. 

I would love one to give my wife to be honest, she currently uses her mobile phone and it drains the battery really badly, but she also has regular near misses due to driving from Bishopdale to the SPCA on Wilmers road, it's industrial/residential and the things she sees are from cars and trucks alike are enough to make her own Youtube channel!

I have a couple of cameras in my car. One behind the mirror:

The other in the back window

Both are connected together, so I can easily get front and back video when looking through a trip.

Would want to make sure that another family member have a camera if I win the Navman. Really think its a good idea to have a Dashcam in a country where its allowed to drive around without insurance!

Current model costs as much or more than electronic models, plus the recording connection is aging rapidly after 63 years of erratic use.

I would love to retire these to more appropriate use only.

My story is quite unique:

Currently one of my dash cams is dead (cheap Chinese two-way camera) after about 3 years. And I need a new one.

I bought that dash cam 4years ago the week after an idiot who was looking very much similar to Mr. Pilkington from Ricky Gervais TV serial issued a $150 fine for allegedly not wearing the seat belt. Which I was wearing of course and complained about that idiot up the chain.  I bought that two way camera for the only one reason - to catch him red-handed and bring to court for issuing fraudulent tickets. I never saw him ever since on that road again (probably because I made it clear through his peers that I will make him loosing the job if I catch him on camera). 

Last week - the Lady in the 15 year old Prius (saw her few times in Greenlane) went to the wrong side of the road and was heading towards me. I had to slow down to avoid head-on collision. If I had the camera at a time ...
