I would replace the little SmartVU dongle I currently have as it overheats and regularly needs to be switched off for a few minutes to cool down. I've made that job a little easier with an in-line USB switch and I've shown my 8 year-old how to use it too. But it'd be a lot better to not have to do anything like this!

I'd replace my Magic tv unit. It suffers a few hiccups every now and again but on the whole it's still going ok.

Well, my entry is: it would replace our Samsung BD / Terrestrial Receiver / HDD Recorder combo unit. Brought it in 2014 and the TVNZ and ThreeNow app stopped support only a couple of years after that. So, would be great to have something easier for the wife to use with 1 remote...

This would replace a Chromecast destined for the sleepout TV.  Will be a much better solution, as we will no longer require the old Android phone to cast things.

I setup my parents with a vodafone tv and it is a bit patchy recently, including developing a 'black dot' on the edge of the screen, which I thought initially was a failing LCD screen. I had one of the original Smartvu devices and had to return it as it was so unreliable, so still using a chipped tivo, which to be honest has been amazing after all this time . So would like to give the new smart vu a go to see how good it is.

This old Box, possibly the worst piece of hardware I've ever owned.
