1st gen iPhone. 1st gen! surely reason enough?!! It's so slow, limited storage, dented, battery life is, well, minimal, and it can't take iOS4.
Oh and if I win, I have a really good iPhone 1st gen for sale. It's really good, screen is perfect still, it's been a pleasure to use. Best phone I've ever owned. If anyone is interested let me know.
My Nokia 5310 has served me well for over 4 years but now its getting to a point where dust gathers under the screen and I have to take the whole thing apart to clean every couple of months so I can actually see anything. A brand new Android phone would be awesome!
Thes giveaways are like buses.. Nothing for ages then two at once!
I have a typically blue Nokia 2280... A true classic. very simple and 'once' stylish. Sticky buttons but after a bit of use they free up. The first TXT of the day is usually a challenge though especially with the left side of 1,4 and 7.
This would be the perfect phone for my wife, as her CDMA Nokia is now getting towards EOL. If I was lucky enough to win it for her, it doesn't get me off the hook for a Xmas present though!!!! Cheers Kieron
I've just replaced my phone with a SE X10 Pro mini, spent most of last night looking for the Android 2.1 update to put on it, only to find that it is on "selected release" to different parts of the world at a time. Annoying! Phone is running Android 1.6, really needs to be o 2.1 or "gasp" maybe 2.2.1 (if only). The milestone looks like a far superior phone that would get a hammering!
Have a Sony Ericsson c510, nice phone, but with being a teen and getting alot of texts, its really slow at opening new texts, switching from contact view to another contact.
And keep going through chargers, the silly plugs always become very touchy
If you have to run heating in winter, you don’t own enough computers.
I'm using the Google ADP1 (developer version of the G1) I got as a bonus at my last job. Running Cyanogenmod 6 (so Android 2.2) -- the shift from 1.6 to 2.1 brought a noticeable speed increase which was nice.
The main advantages of the ADP1 over the G1 are an unlocked bootloader (so reflashing to cyanogenmod is easy) and a picture of a little android on the back (apologies for poor netbook webcam shot):
So I'm an Engineer. And I like stuff that works. And my phone is a 2002 Nokia 6310i... the last great phone that was 'just a phone'. Seriously. The phone just works, it's not too big, it's got Bluetooth and it is a classic.
Unfortunately the battery is starting to give up and I really should get with the times and start with some mobile data.
This phone would be awesome, but it will be popular.
