Pinky01: Hi all,
I received my Certificate the next day of printing which was next day of 25th Jan, I applied passport on same day 26th of Jan, Anyone have idea how long it will take ? Applied online with normal time frame.
Thanks

I applied for my passport on 7th January and it was posted on 26th January, they are taking longer now, plus mine got delayed with NZ Post so only actually received it today.  So glad this process is finally over.

Has anyone who applied in April got any enquiry emails.

Helps everyone to know which 'month' cases are being picked up - in case someone wants to travel since the borders will be open by month end.

Hope DIA follows through its statement of resolving the delays by mid-2022. 😨

According to this response they didn't even started to allocate March applications:

Which is quite odd...

Would be Jan 2023 post Xmas for that application by current timelines. Their website just says they will address these delays by mid 2022 but have warned they cant guarantee old timelines.

Interesting to know - that for 2 long years - the new buggy system hasn't been fixed and staff shortage fixes have yet not reduced the processing time. Reason given was Covid which is endemic in NZ now anyways.

P.S. As said earlier - Just pre pandemic - it was easy 1-3 month processing - I got mine in 1 month(inclusive of passport processing).

I applied in August 2021 (for some reason I thought it was June) and at the time was advised it'd be 15-18 months.

Based on what I am seeing here, I'd say it's more like 8-12 months

8 months would be a great improvement if it 'ever' happened or happens. 😩
