Win7 is running nice. Ordered 2gb of ram from computerlounge for it.
Playing relatively low bitrate 720p video, im managing near the native framerate of most clips (25fps) when its on 'super performance' which apparently slightly overclocks the cpu. So far FFDShow appears to be the best at handling it, might try coreAVC some time. Going to try some 1080p samples.
noddy76:stuzzo: Must say I'm pretty impressed with the Asus. From general talk on the Atoms and netbooks you'd think they were pretty gutless but, obviously outside of more graphics intensive stuff, it scoots along.
Runs my 1920x1080 monitor fine with websites like you wouldn't notice. All areas, devices very well performing.
Good on Harvey Norman, too, for making it right!
I tried playing runes of magic (MMORPG) on mine, it managed up to 10fps at times. I'm surprised it ran at all to be honest, its not exactly quick on the desktop which has a reasonable amount of grunt.
Try running GMABooster, see if it increases your FPS.
