That s sound not right mate, give them a call maybe u already recieved mail for your case officer.Looks like something silly going on with DIA!!
loiicyy: I did contact DIA few times through mails and phone calls. A case officer was allocated for my application on 22 of December. They said if the case officer needs anything further he will definitely contact me. I seriously have no idea what’s going on.
CeeloNZ: I'm wondering if the rise in covid cases is affecting staff availability, with more people isolating this could be possible. Could spell even longer wait times down the line.
The whole affair was rotten to core from the start - if they can process applications in a month in Nov 2019 - what stops them from doing same now. I remember speaking to a DIA person - then there were only paper based applications - he said applicants got provisional approval at the time of data entry of thier application - that used to be infront of the applicant (at the time of application appointment) - since they had all the records like criminal, presence requirements etc right then. After that it was just data processing, final approvals, minister signatures on certificates and ceremony arrangements for approved applicants.
These new reasons are flimsy from the start - During covid American investors paying zero tax on thier NZ trusts got citizenship posted to thier US homes while tax paying immigrants are taken for a ride after swindling money from them an year ago. Bureaucracy has taken over NZ and governance has collapsed completely now. IRD, MIQ and now DIA. 🤬 Tax Dollars and people's time are plenty to waste.
Looking at the numbers one can say - Almost 200K people are stuck up by Soviet styled red tape.
