Thank you… It’s strange that I did not receive a confirmation mail or any mail at all from the case officer. My application was approved without a single correspondence from DIA. My timeline is as follows,

Applied 10 February 2021

Case officer allocated- 22 December 2021 ( according to DIA call centre)

Approved mail by post on 9 of February 2022

Hope this helps

Finally as of today, I have received my approval letter and can post my timeline!

Applied: 26th of February 2021

Method: Paper Form, Manukau office, Auckland (just before they moved)

Allocation to Case Officer/Confirmation of details: 13th of January 2022 - roughly 10 months and 2 weeks since applying.

Confirmed my details on the same day.

Approved: 07th March 2022 - total time from application to approval= 12 months and 2 weeks

Saying its been a long time is an understatement. I am grateful that its finally done but at the same time I feel for others out there that are still waiting. You have that unique understanding of what its like when you've gone through the process yourself. I hope the system changes will see things change for future applicants.

For me now peace of mind, gratitude and relief. Sending positivity to all those waiting.

Disgusting if they say shamelessly - 2 months - to print a certificate.

Meanwhile any one with April or May month processing the DIA reckons that they have started processing May month ones as well.

I got the same email, they keep saying up to 2 months, as if waiting for a year wasn't long enough

The whole country has relapsed into bureaucratic dictatorship. How can they need 2 months to print a certificate after 14 months delay in processing?

This should NOT be the way to keep skilled immigrant 'hostage'.

I went through all the FYIs - the DIA goons are still spouting the same nonsense - covid, new system, new staff, holidays ..  Even a cunning crook will start using a new excuse after 2 long years.

Yet they are claiming there is no guarantee that they will release these 300K+ hostage applications from their custody.
