thaer89:

So here is my Timeline

is Applied at Auckland, paper Application : 15/March/2021

Confirmation email : 27/January/2022

Approval: 22/Feb/2021

Citizenship effective/Print date : 11/March/2022

Applied for urgent Passport on: 11/March/ 2022

Passport approved : 15/March/2022

but still didn't get my certificate yet , maybe delay in post

Not delay - Incompetence - we should call spade a spade - Wish Mongrel mob ruled the country than this lot - they would do a better job. 😤

Also Good to know that the passport gets approved without the citizenship certificate. Doesn't the passport form ask you for a certificate number?

Thanks good to know 😀.  I understand it should be the same day. I myself got it in 2 days in NZ itself 3 years ago.

The country is imploding under gross incompetence - that's what one can say. Skilled professionals are packing their bags - hence this 'hostage keeping of 300K+ applications' by this shameless and crooked government. Wonder what message that action is passing on to the people.

Anyways let us know when you get the passport.

Pretty sure immigrants aren't forced to apply for citizenship, and if they really aren't happy with the way things work or are here then maybe they should reconsider if NZ should be their permanent home.

(To add, calling the government 'crooked' is actually quite slanderous in my view.)

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Do they send email when your certificate will be printed or you have to enquire yourself to get this date?

I do not subscribe to this racist view that immigrants (permanent residents) can't question the government when NZ citizenship is faxed to US investors whereas local plebs(PR) do not get proper answers where their applications are after 1 year and the government keeps spouting same excuses in last 2 years.

Its an individual decision to consider NZ as permanent home - that any immigrant before or after citizenship is free to choose - its NO one's right to dictate what they should consider/reconsider.

I called them and was told yet again up to 2 months.

They said they can only register a few applicants for the certificate at a time. So if the system only allows 1000 applicants you have to wait till the next batch of 1000 gets approved?? It's all so long winded and drawn out. One would think once u get approved, steps from there on would be fairly simple and quick.

This the response that I've received:

You have not yet been allocated to a print and despatch date. Due to the ongoing outbreak of Omicron we are currently experiencing higher volumes and reduced staff.

Once you have been allocated to a print date you will receive an email 3 weeks prior to your certificate being printed.

It is likely your certificate could be printed next month.

I am from February 20, 2021 "Online" and still waiting, I haven't heard from them at all but I called and they said that I have a CO assigned.

Do you think that they are slowing down because omicron?
