If I changed from my 18v 2.0mah hour Ryobi Batteries in my Ryobi One Hedge trimmer, to the equivalent Edge high performance versions (if or when they get here), would my hedge trimmer cut better, or just longer?

it wont bog down as much and will run longer.

You can watch a few YouTube videos on how it preforms compared to a standard battery, but most test with drills or circular saws.

Depends on how the 18650s are arranged, if you've got more cells in parallel they'll provide more current so presumably cut better, otherwise just longer.

Well, whatever they are, they'll be some equivalent cells arranged in an xSyP configuration.

Still the same xSyP configuration for each of the battery sizes, just a different cell/chemistry giving more power/runtime

neb: It's been four days so far, so we'll see.

Current status:

Cainiao: Import clearance start.

The Post Haste was delivered this morning, the China one is at the Auckland courier depot.

So Post Haste across town is marginally quicker than Cainiao from 清蒸鱼 to here.

Does anyone know who's opening for Luke Combs tonight and what time the man himself is likely to make an appearance?

According to the Herald.  Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny and Lane Pittman.

Didn't state what time he would be on though.

Maybe not a small question but when the US says it will ban TikTok, how can/will this be implemented and enforced? What actually happens? I have no idea how this works.

I believe it's just a directive to delist the app from the official iOS and Android catalogues. It's my understanding that already-installed apps will continue to work (at least until the API changes), as will the website.

I believe TikTok will stop access from the US and slowly shut down operation from there.

Reuters reports "TikTok plans to shut U.S. operations of its social media app [...] Users who have downloaded TikTok would theoretically still be able to use the app, except that the law also bars U.S. companies starting Sunday from providing services to enable the distribution, maintenance, or updating of it."

Does anyone know if Samsung's "Adaptive Fast Charging" USB (type A) chargers/adapters use a USB PD spec? Or if you need an active USB (type A -> C) cable in order to fast charge with it? My Pixel 6a phone only draws 5W from it instead of the rated 10W of the charger.

I believe there are 100+m users in the US. I guess it will eventually die if it's not supported but if they are still able to use the app, does this mean that nothing will really change in the short term and the ban is largely symbolic?

EDIT: I just found this story on 9to5 Mac. It says:

"The law, as written, only requires the app to be removed from ... app stores. TikTok, however, is expected to take things a step further and cut off access entirely to the service on January 19 – even for users who have already downloaded the app on their phones."
