Here is my 1988 Model M. It is my work keyboard.

Note the heavy-duty detachable spiral keyboard cable with the AT plug, plugged into a AT-PS2 adapter, which is plugged into a USB-PS2 Adapter. (Take that, wonderferret).

This model also has the Alt keys with the green lettering.

If I won the fancy-pants wireless keyboard, I'd keep it close so I can use it's windows key every now and then.

Having put all this copper in the walls, still need something to give us the convenience of WiFi...

At least my IBM keyboard has a Windoze key...

Got told by the bean counters I will get a new keyboard when I get a new PC, but there is a capex freeze....

If I don't win the keyboard I think old blacky here might have an unfortunate encounter with an XL can of coke...

I have 100mb cable at home, and my crappy ancient netgear router only gives me 50mb throughput.

Well, here they are, a Chicony Electronics wired KB-9810 keyboard, and a glorious D-Link DSL-302G ADSL Modem/Router. Where can I start? The worst first. The router has terrible range. One would like to sit out in the garden with the notebook and a herbal tea, checking out the TradeMe auctions. Not possible with this little beasty. Always dropping out at critical moments, like the closing seconds of a bargain auction, or when one is streaming Homeland from the USA, and Brody has got himself into a tight corner, only to become frozen and pixelized. Not that I would condone or acknowledge streaming of overseas TV shows, of course.

The keyboard: that beige plastic style throws out all the Feng Shui of my lounge and otherwise delightful HTPC zone. Not to mention that any HTPC interaction by me requires an extraction from the armchair. After 8:00 PM this is just inappropriate. Oh, for the joys of a wireless keyboard, with both good Feng Shui and armchair range. Of course, I would either need a bigger TV or new glasses if I won the keyboard, as I can't quite read text on the TV screen from my armchair. The perfect excuse to justify a TV upgrade. See, I really do need to win that keyboard!

Pick me!!! I need to replace my old Thomson router from Telecom, it restarts every now and then and my keyboard is as old as the modem. :(

I have a gnarly old Telecom router that desperately needs hand grenading. If it took out my logitech keyboard at the same time, that wouldn't be too sad either! Fingers crossed for replacing one! Cheers GZ you rock :)

The Wireless router would be a good replacement for the old Telecom Thompson i have that can not handle streaming of video to my TV.

Does the router do vlan 10 tagging for ufb?

Just got rid of my old stuff, figured it was time when the fibre went in. :-)

But have a 4 month nephew that could do with a bit of geek, so i'll be in for the book

Should be getting UFB In Jan, shoul need something decent to use with it!

Hrmm......I've managed to upgrade the guts of this computer I use at work, but the keyboard and monitor still need to get sorted. A wireless keyboard would be great too because deskspace is cramped.
